When and how did you become a member of www.nycinv.com?I became aware of nycinv.com this summer through my good friend and social media guru, Desiree Frieson.
How do you balance your career and giving back so successfully?
My sister (
Elena) and I founded Red Rover Public Relations, a social media marketing company. We also launched Red Rover Style, which is an online magazine about lifestyle and charity. I am busy all the time, but the best balance I’ ve found is to make serving a charity a part of my lifestyle, which brings me a ton of joy. Through the Red Rover Style brand, I am involved in serving numerous charities by attending and covering charity events, participating in volunteer opportunities, or raising awareness through social media to encourage young people to get involved in some sort of charity.
How have your experiences with the charities you support changed your outlook on your own life?
Currently, I am an advocate for anti-sex trafficking. I’ ve met founders of various organizations dealing with this issue from those that are fighting the demand side of sexual slavery to those that oversee safe houses for victims. They are the heroes, as they dedicated their daily lives to serving this cause. I had the honor of interviewing Emily Fitchpatrick of The Hope House in North Carolina. She shared some incredibly heart-breaking stories of the after effects and confusion of victims to sex trafficking, which makes me only want to do more for this cause

Who or what has been your greatest inspiration?
There are so many amazing people that I have met in all of my years, and I am in awe of their attitudes, integrity, honor, self-sacrifice, gentle spirit, leadership, and more. But I am who I am today because of my mother. She has the heart of gold, and she taught me how to be strong, faithful, and to always have fun in whatever I’ m doing.
Many people want to do their part for those in need, but don’t know the best way to go about it. What would your advice be to them?
