Tell us about your Bomb Lager beer can.
I actually created two different designs for them. The contrasting images are to create a fun, cool, and urban vibe. The cans are available throughout New York and they are wanting to expand to more states and cities. It's always fun creating designs on objects and products that usually don't have art on them.
Tell us about your art work.
I call my work "Urban Primitive Pop"--bold lines, bold colors, puzzle like images with an urban feel. I also work in black and white and other two toned colors. Alot of the inspiration comes from the feel and energy of the city and the people who live there. People have said if Picasso, Keith Haring, and Peter Max got together at the end of the day and had some drinks and got alittle loopy...you would have my art.
Who or what has been your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration comes from my family. I grew up in Cleveland and my father, William F. Miller ( famed reporter of the Cleveland Plain Dealer) took me, my mom and my brother Mark to every type of creative event you can think of. It opened up my eyes and heart and i embraced a life of creativity ever since.
In which direction do you plan to take your work in the future?
I want my art to continue to grow along with my audience. I'm all about sharing you and your art with as many people as possible. My quest is to keep that growing. I'm also starting to mix my art with live painting and projections with both rock n roll music and live dj's-mixing art, technology, performance, and music to create something new, fresh and most of all...fun.
What advice do you have for New Yorkers considering apartment appropriate art?
There is no apartment appropriate art. If you have a feeling for a particular piece and it moves you or makes you happy then it can fit in anywhere.
